TCHOKMON DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
In collaboration with the Tchokmon village leadership, Wellfound, Invest Bissau, and the Ban Faaba International Organization, the Tchokmon Development Project officially launched on June 20th, 2022. Proposed components of this Project include the reopening of the primary school, market gardens, upgraded sanitation systems, improved water systems utilizing solar power and reverse osmosis for purification, and housing improvements. TCHALANA VILLAGE SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT

This small primary school has extremely limited resources. During the rainy season, it is difficult to conduct classes. This school needs building upgrades, school supplies, and funding for teachers' salaries. Click here to see our progress

Sonaco Village Solar Lights Project
​
The Fula Village in Sonaco faces daily challenges due to limited electricity, impacting safety, education, and community life after dark. To address this, the Roots in Guinea-Bissau Cultural & Development Initiative is launching a project to install 25 solar-powered lights by the end of 2025.
